‘Create Water, Increase Forest, Improve Community Forest, for Sufficiency Life.’ The Thai Bungor planting took place at Ban Tam Nampu Community Forest in Moo 10, Tubkwang subdistrict, Kangkoi Saraburi
On 7 June 2024, Major General Nattapond Kongsompong, Vice President, Community and Government Relation, Chememan PLC led the management team and staff to work with the Office of Natural Resources and Environment of Saraburi, Tubkwang Municipality, student and communities within Moo 10, planted 200 of Thai Bungor trees. This planting was under the company’s project ‘Create Water, Increase Forest, Improve Community Forest, for Sufficiency Life.’ The Thai Bungor planting took place at Ban Tam Nampu Community Forest in Moo 10, Tubkwang subdistrict, Kangkoi Saraburi, with the aim of the area to be the future ecotourism spot, and income sources of the local communities.
Thai Bungor, or ‘the summer Sakura’ is the native species that would blossom in the month of March to April. Thai Bungor planted this round was of 3 meter height, that would have high surviving possibility, and would grow fast, expect to blossom first time in 2025.
